Psalm 23:1-4

The Divine Shepherd

A Psalm of David.

The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures; he leads me beside still waters; he restores my soul. He leads me in right paths for his name’s sake.

Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I fear no evil; for you are with me; your rod and your staff— they comfort me.

Devotion by Julia Shiver

I know of no more comforting words than these. Whether it be the words themselves, or the contexts in which we have heard them, they have been a source of peace and strength for centuries. Take some quiet time today. Read these words aloud several times. Then sit quietly and feel God’s comfort and mercy fill your soul.

May God’s blessings fill you this week, my friend.
