Rev. Kimberleigh Buchanan - Senior Pastor

Kim has been our spiritual leader for more than a decade. We might add our spirited leader. She completed her Master of Divinity degree at Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville and her PH.D. at Emory University in Atlanta. Kim is the center of Pilgrimage. She is an inspiration for all who know her. Her philosophy of ministry is grounded in the good news of God’s love for every individual. She personifies spirituality and faith for real life. Allen Mullinax - Director of Music

Allen has been the Director of Music at Pilgrimage since 2006. He received his Bachelor of Music degree at the University of Georgia, his Master’s from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and a PH.D. from the University of Louisville -the University of Kentucky joint doctoral program. Allen puts heart and soul into the music program at Pilgrimage. From the bell choir to the church choir, which is accompanied by a brass ensemble on occasion, the music is truly stirring. Allen sees church music as ministry. Its message is one of healing, spiritual renewal and a sincere reflection of God’s love. Kim and Allen are married and live in Woodstock.

Wayne Scott - Youth Activities Director

Wayne has been an active and involved member of Pilgrimage since 2009. He was recently hired as our Youth Activities Director. His interest and involvement with youth continues to be a serious and passionate endeavor. Wayne has been actively involved with the Youth Council since late 2010. He is very excited about continuing his faith journey as Youth Director at Pilgrimage UCC. He is also a member of the Sanctuary Choir and enjoys singing. Wayne serves as a mentor with Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Metro Atlanta and has an MBA from Georgia State University.

Lynne Buell - Office Administrator

Lynne is our Office Administrator at Pilgrimage and is responsible for the many clerical duties that come with this position. In 2005, she retired from GMAC after working there for 30 years. Born and raised in Buffalo, Lynne is a survivor of the “Blizzard of ’77!” She also has a daughter named Terry and a 9 year-old grandson named Andrew. In addition, she has four kitties she cares for, loves to scrapbook and maintains a beautiful rose garden.

David Pylate - Accompanist

David is Pilgrimage’s gifted musician and accompanist. He studied piano at the University of Southern Mississippi (USM), was a member of the USM Men’s Chorus and in ’79 sang with the New Orleans Opera chorus. He was also a pianist and vocalist with a contemporary Christian band called “Salt” that performed throughout the Southeast, as well as Scotland and England. He attended the University of Alaska where he performed for the Governor. An actor who has appeared in a number of musicals and dramas, he works in finance at Wellstar Health Systems.
